You won’t forget a visit to see these magnificent prehistoric creatures. Komodo Dragons are the largest monitor lizard on Earth and can grow up to 3 metres in length and weigh up to 200 pounds! You might think they would be slow but they can reach speeds of 15km an hour!
Their bite is very strong and their mouths contain venom glands that produce proteins that cause rabid infections. Dragons aren’t picky and will eat almost anything dead or alive. They are hunters but will happily eat something that has already been killed. Birds, eggs, boar, goats, fish, horses and even other small dragons!
Padar Island in the Komodo National Park is located between Komodo and Rinca islands boasting one of the most beautiful views in the world.
The journey to the top isn’t difficult and it should not take you more than 30 minutes to reach the top from the beach. Don’t forget your camera to capture this Jurassic landscape with its crescent moon beaches and pristine beaches.
Snorkel with these majestic creatures at two of Komodo’s famous sites. As the names suggest we will be taking you to swim/ snorkel with both these majestic creatures.
At Manta Point the resident fleet of Manta’s arrive on a daily basis to feed on plankton. At Turtle City the coral reef has become a sanctuary to green turtles, float above the turtles while they go about their day.
