Blue Marlin Dive
Blue Marlin Dive is situated on the idyllic Gili Islands just off the coast of Lombok, Indonesia and offers daily recreational and technical dive trips for certified divers, a complete range of PADI courses from beginner to instructor level and a luxury diving live-aboard. On top of that we have 3 accomodation options from standard rooms to luxury villas, as well as an international restaurant.
We are also a TDI and an IANTD technical dive facility specializing in Nitrox, Tri-mix and Buddy Inspiration and Evolution closed circuit rebreather (CCR) training.

News From Blue Marlin
Blue Marlin Dive, Gili Trawangan, has just received a prestigious award from PADI Asia Pacific. We have been awarded first place in the category "Diver retention" which means we have shown outstanding performance in areas such as business growth, implementing innovative programs for continuing education of divers and overall business performance.
In the latest edition of Lonely Planet "Bali & Lombok" Gili Trawangan in general and Blue Marlin in specific have received several positive reviews. We have been commended for the high quality of our technical sites, facilities and not least our instructors (Simon Liddiard, our owner and Will Goodman). We have also been commended for the restaurant and its fresh fish BBQ (..."always cooked to perfection"...) and of course the Monday night parties!

Freediving - Blue Marlin Dive now does it all!
Previously, you could train at Blue Marlin in every type of diving imanginable - from entry level recreational all the way to 100 metre diving on a re-breather. There basically was very little that we actually didn't train our customers in! Now this has become even smaller, as Blue Marlin introduces a comphrehensive program of freediving training.
For those who don't know what freediving is, it is the discipline of breath hold diving, and you will be surprised at the depths that even beginners can achieve - a three day course can have you diving up to 20 metres and holding your breath for more than two minutes.
Our instructors are all trained through AIDA, the leading freediving association.

Blue Marlin Dive teaches and offers diving certification through PADI, the Professional Association of Dive Instructors. We hold the prestigious PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Award No.6441 and teach divers from beginner to instructor in recreational diving. Technical Diving
Blue Marlin Dive is also a technical diving facility. Technical diving allows qualified divers to venture beyond recreational diving limits. Around the Gili Islands and South Lombok, our owner, Simon Liddiard has personally discovered walls, reef systems and a Japanese WWII wreck to suit our technical diving customers.
We are affiliated with TDI, Technical Divers International as well as I.A.N.T.D, the International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers. We offer superior technical diving and instruction from entry level nitrox, to tri-mix diving utilising helium. Simon Liddiard specialises in Buddy Inspiration and Evolution closed circuit rebreather training, a technology that expands the limits of diving even further. In 2003 Simon broke the world record for diving solo on this unit to 150 metres. Read more...
